San Francisco Youth Chorus (SFYC), founded in 2015 by Artistic Director Katherine Gerber, advances the musicianship of children ages 4 and up, in grades PreK-9, in San Francisco, California. Sponsored by Great Adventures Through Education, the after-school chorus of nearly 150 youngsters, across several ensembles, rehearses weekly, August-May, and performs several times throughout the season.


Support San Francisco Youth Chorus at a special fundraiser that will kick off with a wine and cheese gathering, followed by a formal concert featuring the talented SFYC faculty and special guest artists. Dinner will be served after the concert, along with a silent auction and other surprises! Child admission includes dinner and a supervised movie and snack night. Come join the fun and community, and help support our mission of musical excellence.


As part of their award-winning performance in the WorldStrides Anaheim Heritage Festival in March 2019, San Francisco Youth Chorus sings the African-American spiritual, "Shine on Me," arranged by Rollo A. Dilworth who says, "The melody is built on a pentatonic scale, and it utilizes a text that has multiple meanings .
